Who is Jae Manning? Imagine a little girl born in the projects of New Orleans, Louisiana. She was a brown skinned girl who grew up not loving the skin she was in, because she was never told she was beautiful. She was a little girl who grew up feeling unloved because she was never told differently. She was a little girl who was introduced to abuse at an early age.
She was a little girl who grew up believing she was destined to a life of abuse, disappointment, heartache and pain. This little girl grew up expecting only the worst life could offer her because it seems that is what seemed to follow her, sure she had a few good things to happen but for the most part the bad outweighed the good. Well let me tell you that’s not how her story ends.

After one of the most traumatic events occurred in her life, like the song says it was the third of September, a date to remember. 9/3/2017 was beginning of an end that lead to a new beginning. Her dying marriage gave her life. Jae had been alive for 48 years, but she hadn’t really lived. It took her marriage to end in order for her to get to know and truly learn to love herself. For the first time in her life Jae met and fell in love with Jae. Not only did she fall in love with Jae she discovered so much about Jae. She now knows she wasn’t created just to be abused, misused, hurt and disappointed. She now knows there purpose for her life. She knows God handpicked her to walk this walk so she can be an example to teach others that there is life after death, abuse, abandonment, heartache, pain and or divorce. Jae is living proof of a miracle. Jae told herself to get up every day and get dressed and to fix herself up as if everything was ok and eventually the inner will catch up with the outer. It took 49 years before she realized she can do anything she puts her mind to. In August of 2018, she woke up and looked at herself in the mirror and said, Jae it’s time to live. She got up and got dressed and drove to the nearest Houston Community College campus to speak with an advisor. She enrolled in classes and has been attending classes nonstop. Not only did she attend classes she has excelled, earning a spot on the Dean’s list every semester and had been inducted into three different Honors Societies, Phi Theta Kappa, The National Society of Leadership and Success, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She is a motivational speaker, a life coach and now a published author. Jae has gone from victim to victor.
